Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

This policy explains how One2One Fitness NI ("we", "us") handles personal information in the One2One Fitness NI member app. The app is for members of our gym only.

Who we are

One2One Fitness NI, Northern Ireland. Data protection queries: one2onefitnessni@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Account details — name, email address, optional phone number and profile photo, provided by you or by your Google account when you sign in.
  • Training data — exercises, sets, reps, weights, personal bests, attendance, body weight, notes, challenge and HYROX results.
  • Step data — daily and weekly step counts you enter by hand, any proof photos you choose to upload, and step counts read from a fitness tracker you connect.
  • Messages and community activity — messages to coaches, comments and kudos on other members' results.
  • Notification data — push subscription details if you turn on notifications.

Connecting a fitness tracker (Google / Fitbit and Garmin)

Connecting a tracker is entirely optional. If you connect one, we ask your provider only for permission to read your daily step count. We use that step count for one purpose: showing your weekly total on the gym step leaderboard.

We store the access tokens needed to refresh your steps and the step totals themselves. We do not read, store or request heart rate, sleep, location, weight, nutrition or any other health data, and we never sell this data or use it for advertising. You can disconnect a tracker at any time from the Steps page, which deletes the stored tokens.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use your information

  • To run your training log, personal bests and progress charts.
  • To run gym challenges, achievements and leaderboards.
  • To let coaches review your progress and message you.
  • To send app notifications you have opted into.

Who can see what

Leaderboards, challenge results, personal bests, comments, kudos and step proof photos are visible to other signed-in members — that is the point of the community features. You can hide yourself from leaderboards in your profile settings.

Coaches and admins can see your training data, contact details and coach notes. Private exercise notes and direct messages are visible only to you and the coaching team.

Storage, sharing and security

Data is stored in a secure cloud database with row-level access controls, and photos are served through short-lived signed links. We use service providers for hosting, database, authentication and push notifications, and they process data only on our behalf. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you are an app member. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile, training history, step data and uploaded photos.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict how we use it. You can edit most details yourself in the app, or email us and we will action the rest. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

The app is intended for gym members aged 16 or over. Under-16s may only use it with parental consent arranged directly with us.

Changes

We will update this page if the app changes how it handles your data, and the date at the top will change with it.
